Georgia right tackle Tate Ratledge will return to Georgia for the 2024 season, according to sources. The 2023 Second Team All-American contemplated declaring for the 2024 NFL draft before ultimately deciding to return to Georgia for a fifth collegiate season, using his "Covid year" to do so.

After initially arriving at Georgia as a highly-regarded 4-star prospect prior to the 2020 season, Ratledge earned a starting role at right guard entering the 2021 season. The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder earned rave reviews during fall camp in the leadup to the 2021 opener against Clemson in Charlotte, North Carolina before suffering a lisfranc injury in Georgia's win over the Tigers that sidelined him for the remainder of the 2021 season. The Rome, Georgia native returned in 2022 to start 14 of Georgia's 15 games en route to the Bulldogs' second-consecutive national championship. Ratledge followed that up with an even stronger 2023 season that saw him earn All-SEC First Team and Second Team All-American honors after starting 12 of Georgia's 13 games at right guard.
