Jaylen Brown on Jordan Walsh: ‘You Can See He’s Got Some Talent and He’s Been Working'
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Celtics kept their home win streak alive, now reaching 20-0 after defeating the San Antonio Spurs at home. The team was yet again in control for most of the way, though the Spurs did not let it get too out of hand.

In the absence of Derrick White and Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday had himself an evening to accompany both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The three combined for 67 points, with Holiday knocking down six threes. Luke Kornet was also great as a starter, again recording six points, nine rebounds, and four assists in 30 minutes.

With him being called up from Maine, many were hopeful we would finally get the NBA debut of Jordan Walsh, and we did. He made an appearance in the last three minutes, as TD Garden gave cheers when he checked in and whenever he touched the ball.

Brown praised the growth of Walsh and how he has developed, along with the three rebounds he was able to bring down in the last few minutes.

"The rook has just been working man," Brown said, per, Inside The Celtics. "Just getting better, developing. Obviously, been down in Maine, but you been hearing good things. So, just seeing him get out there, and right away show some signs of improvement, like just get out there and grab four rebounds, you can see he got some talent, and he's just working."

The arena was ready to erupt when he took his three-point attempt, and it just missed, as Walsh's first NBA bucket will have to wait.

The Celtics next matchup is on Friday night on ESPN when the defending champion Denver Nuggets come into Boston.
